Following a long career in the media (TV, newspapers, magazines, film) Prue has finally had a chance to follow her heart to beautiful Bathurst. Drawn to it from her first glimpse of rolled hay bales in open fields, panoramic skyscapes and warm afternoon light she moved here from Sydney in 2024.

A third-generation artist, her father and grandfather worked in pencil, ink and watercolor, so it was a surprise to Prue when she fell head over heels in love with soft pastels, an ideal medium for her interpretation of romantic Bathurst landscapes. While still working as a freelance journalist, Prue has not given up her long-term engagement with sketching in pencil and ink… and flirtations with multimedia collage and wire sculpture. Her enchantment with the central west landscape deepens every single day, and she believes she will remain wrist deep in pastel dust for years to come.
