Printmaking workshops

T.Arts Gallery in Bathurst are offering a wide variety of workshops this year where you can learn different techniques and get your creative flow going. We are offering oil painting, drawing, bronze sculpture, printmaking and more.

Check https://www.tartsgallery.com/workshops/ for details.

Karin Smith is offering Printmaking 101 which will allow you to try out different printmaking techniques. They are all techniques you can do at home without expensive equipment. Printmaking is a very satisfying art technique. You can do one or all of the workshops.

Linoprint – everybody did this at school! It is a very graphic medium which allows for very sophisticated or very simple prints. We will be printing in black and white.

Tetrapak Printing – Using the inside of orange juice containers we will create an image by cutting into the surface, pressing ink onto it and then squeezing it onto the paper using a pasta maker. This is etching for the modern times.

Kitchen lithography – This one is amazing! We draw onto alfoil with a crayon then soak it in Coca Cola. When we roll the ink on to the alfoil it only appears where the drawing was done. We then print that onto paper.
