Fired and Fibre’ is a group exhibition of works by fibre artist Elanya Stuart and ceramic artists Pauline Wellfare, Joy Adams, Val Stuart and Margaret Ling.
Pauline is known for her refined, polished porcelain work. Quiet, clean understated pieces, often carved and accentuated with stains and oxides.
Valerie’s interest is in primitive and alternate firing techniques such as Sagger and Raku firing in order to achieve a desired elemental and complex surface finish.
Joy’s work is sculptural with ceramic forms inspired by Peruvian art and enhanced with oxides and underglazes.
Margaret’s robust ceramic forms are domestic in inspiration with vases and jars leaning toward the sculptural.
Elanya’s fibre art is diverse in methodologies and materials. Her forms are sculptural and combine her great interest in textiles with found objects.
Fired and Fibre exhibition opens Friday 24th October at 6pm.
All Welcome.
Exhibition runs till 7th November 2025
